INSPECTION MANAGER

MOSA is seeking qualified candidates for its Inspection Manager position with the goal of having this position filled by mid-2012.

Responsibilities of the Inspection Manager

    Management of the MOSA Inspection Program:

  • -- Recruiting, training, supporting and evaluating MOSA contract farm and handling inspectors in diverse geographic areas.
  • -- Hiring, training, supporting and evaluating MOSA staff inspectors.
  • -- Developing inspector trainings, forms and documents as needed.

    Maintenance of the MOSA Inspection Program:

  • -- Assigning, scheduling and prioritizing of MOSA inspections.
  • -- Maintaining inspector endorsement documentation.   

    Participation in the Certification Management and the MOSA Management Team:

  • -- Working with Processing and Farm Certification Managers to maintain and develop the MOSA certification program.
  • -- Representing the needs of the Inspection Department on the Management Team and contributing to the over-all management of MOSA.   

Qualifications

  • -- Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • -- Strong personnel management, organization and administrative skills.
  • -- Training and experience in organic crop, livestock and handling inspections.
  • -- Background in auditing, HACCP, organic certification or legal/regulatory work.   

This is a full time position with benefits and requires working from MOSA's office in Viroqua, Wisconsin. Salary is highly competitive for a non-profit organization.
